Bulldogs breed Appearance 

Bulldogs are small, wide and compact yet extremely muscular and stocky. They have massive heads with dense folds making them appear wrinkly. The Bulldogs coat comes in red, fawn, brindle, pale yellow, washed out red or white or combination. 

Bulldogs Temperament

Bulldogs, despite their appearance, are very gentle dogs. They are wary of intruders and can be great guard dogs. The are known as affectionate and dependable. Bulldogs are great family pets as they are gentle with children and enjoy playing with them. Bulldogs do however snore loadly and drool alot!


Bulldogs Exercise

Bulldogs are extremely lazy dogs and would rather lay on the sofa than go for a run. These dogs do need exercise though as they will become overweight and unhealthy if not. Bulldogs can be very stubborn so it is best to start exercising bull dog puppies at a young age to get them used to it. They require a walk a day but are quite happy to have less! 

Bulldogs Health

Bulldogs are known for having a variety of health issues. Some of these include fold dermatitus, an inflamation of the skin folds which often occurs in animals with dense folds. Eye lid abnormalities are also common and there are a vairety of different types. Bull dogs also can be known to have heart problems as they grow older.
