House training a dog to use a cat litter box is possible. Creating a dog litter box will mean that you can relax when you leave the house, safe in the knowledge that your carpet is not going to be ruined. For tips on the puppy litter box when puppy toilet training, see the following.

    The Dog Litter Box

Start by placing your puppy litter box in the area you choose. Line the dog litter box with bin liners and put in a sufficient amount of litter. Ensure that the sides of the box are not too high for the dog to access.

When beginning puppy toilet training, take the dog to the litter box frequently – even if the dog does not need to go. Once in the box, apply some pressure to the stomach and wait.

When the puppy goes to the toilet successfully in the puppy litter box, praise him and give him a treat. This will make your dog associate using the dog litter box with getting attention and treats. Puppy toilet training in this way will become gradually easier as the dog will become accustomed to using this as his toilet.
