    Top 10 Presents for Dog Lovers

    Anyone who has a friend or family member that is crazy about dogs, here is a list of a range of different gift ideas. The list varies and can be altered to fit all personalities for a present for Christmas or another holiday; it may even spark some ideas of what you might like for Christmas. 

     

    1. Mug

    Mugs come in all different designs and everyone uses them. You can paint one or buy one, but either way they are fun and can be given to anyone from a child to an adult. They are available in a wide collection of shops, ranging from mugs with 3D qualities of dog faces to artistic images of a variety of different scenes.

     

    2. Picture

    A portrait of their dog or another dog can be a beautiful accessory to their house if they enjoy art. You can either have a photo framed or printed on canvas, buy a painting, or if you feel you are able, attempt to paint them an image yourself. Any of these will take much time and care, so will be much appreciated by the receiver.

     

    3. Walking boots

    Walking boots are essential for the country dog walkers. Specifically in the winter, a pair of wellies or walking shoes are necessary for dog walks. These vary in price and quality. There are more practical and hardwearing pairs and there are also more fashionable pairs that are highly advertised so depending on whom you are buying for, research will be needed to find a suitable pair.

     

    4. Walking coat

    Following on from the boots, if they enjoy walking, a coat is very useful. The qualities you will want in a walking coat is light weight, insulated and waterproof. This will be ideal for long walks however can satisfy the needs of quick walks as well.

     

    5. Jumper

    There are some great fashion jumpers that you can find in shops such as, Topshop or Mango, which have dog designs on them. The most common are on the front of the jumper or in a repeated pattern across the whole piece. These have been very popular and can be given as a good present for dog lovers as it is subtle and stylish.

     

    6. PJs

    How about some stylish PJs? You can have fun with pyjamas because you and your loved ones are the only ones who see them. This means you can go crazy with cute dog patterns. Or even perhaps find a onesie with a similar pattern. This would be more aimed towards younger people, but who says you can’t have an adult onesie – no one will know.

     

    7. Ornaments

    Collectable ornaments, or even just a couple here or there, can decorate an empty surface. Any breed of dog or style of ornament you wish can make a great dainty present for a friend who has a love for dogs.

     

    8. Grooming supplies and products

    A new brush or some fresh products to keep your dog smelling good are great presents for a dog owner. Some dogs can be sensitive to different brushes due to the bristles or they may not like to be brushed so you will need to know this information before purchasing anything. However this would be beneficial to the owner as it will reduce hair fallout around the house. Any products for the dogs fur, such as shampoo or perfume, are usually appreciate, but be sure to buy from a brand where the products are designed for dogs.

     

    9. Picture frames

    Along similar lines of the ‘Picture’, a photo frame is a lovely present. You have a couple of options here: you can either buy a frame with a design, such as a classic pug frame, or get a plain frame and personalise it by decorating it yourself, with dog paw prints for example. This is lovely and easy to fit to someone’s personality. You can choose whether to add a photo or let them add their own.

     

    10. Calendar

    We’ve all seen those calendars with the cute pictures of puppies filling page after page for each month. This could be a possible present for an adult or a child. There are many places to purchase this style of calendar. It is an inexpensive present, and fun and thoughtful.
