£125 charge to get the dog back
Tilly, a King Charles Spaniel, cannot go back to its owners in Swanley as they cannot pay a fee that the Town Council demands to return the dog.
A dog's owner bought Tilly for his son last year. On 27th May the boy went on a bike ride and the dog ran out of a gate following him. The microchipped dog was found by a public member and taken to Swanley Town Council. According to News Shopper, the pet was then handed over to Sevenoaks District Council who are now asking the unemployed father to pay £125 for its release.
