Dancing Dog Pudsey Makes BGT Final
Dancing dog Pudsey and his owner Ashleigh charmed their way into the Britain's Got Talent final last night with a performance so cute even Simon Cowell couldn't help but gush.
Having already wowed the judges in the audition phase with their Flintstones routine, Ashleigh and Pudsey put in another flawless performance, this time inspired by hit movie The Artist.
Always a fan of a dog act, Simon said: "This is what I've been waiting for all my life... Honestly, I've had a lot of dogs in my life, but never one like this. Ashley you did a fantastic job. I want a dog like that. Can you breed him and give me the puppies?"
No doubt viewers across the nation were thinking exactly the same thing.
With Pudsey straight through to Saturday's live final, the judges were left with a choice between Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud and boyband The Mend.
Both David Walliams and Amanda Holden voted for the 175-strong choir, while Alesha Dixon was impressed by The Mend, leaving the decision to Simon.
Unable to split the two, Cowell opted to leave it down to the public vote and it was Only Boys Aloud that made it through to the final.
Choir leader Tim Rhys-Evans said: "I am over the moon for these guys. They worked really hard. Thank you to the British public. I couldn't be prouder."
Failing to make it to the final stage of the competition were raunchy violinist Analiza Ching, singer Rachel Knowland, dance group United We Stand, 12-year-old singer Lauren Thalia, '50s band The Jive Aces and Where Me Keys, Where Me Phone rapper Zipparah Tafari.
Tonight's semi-final is set to include stuntmen Cascade, camp quintet The Showbears and one-time favourites Jonathan and Charlotte.
