Do You Know The Owner Of This Shar Pei?
Vets in Cullompton, Devon are appealling for help after a young Shar Pei was found wondering on New Years Eve.
The dog was found wondering on the B3440 between Willand and Uffculme, which is locally referred to in the area as the Uffculme Straight, on the morning of 31st December. She was then brought into Vale Vets in Cullompton.
Although on scanning the Shar Pei the vets found her to be microchipped, the chip is unfortunately not registered to a client. The dog is cream coloured, with a slightly reddish snout and wrinkles, a distinguishing feature in the Shar Pei breed. She is thought to be young - between 1 and 2 years old.
Although the Shar Pei has now been passed to the dog warden, Vale Vets have appealed for the owner of the dog to come forward with a post on their Facebook page.
The Shar Pei breed originates from China and are an incredibly loyal and devoted breed. In the right environment they are very affectionate dogs who do not like spending time alone, so no doubt this sweet girl is missing her family.
If you are the owner of this dog, or know who is please contact Vale Vets on their Facebook page or call the dog warden directly on 01884 255255.
