    Dog dies attacked in front of children

    Toby, a Jack Russel Toby was mauled to death in front of dozens of children in Dorchester when attacked by a bigger dog.

    The Toby’s owner was having a coffee at the café in the Borough Gardens while a cross between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a German Shepherd attacked the pet. Few minutes later Toby died in its owner's arms.The café staff and families who gathered nearby were shocked as the path where the accident happened was next to the entrance to the play area. "Any of the children could have been hurt" - told one of the witnesses.

    In the UK, the dogs owners who don’t keep their pups on a lead might be issued £75 fixed penalty notices. People who notice a dangerous dog walking around should immediately call the police.
