Dog dies in car left for 6 months
Dachshund starved to death after the dog’s owner had locked the pet in a car for six months.
A woman from South Africa parked her car at O.R. Tambo International Airport near Kempton Park, locked her Dachshund dog in the boot and boarded her flight to Norway. She came back after six months and found her dog starved to death. A woman’s lawyer claims that she was mentally ill at the time of the offence and was released on a warning so was not conscious of her acts.
According to the report, the woman was evaluated by a psychiatrist in Norway and in the UK where it was confirmed that she is a paranoid schizophrenic. However, the State rejected both reports and the case has been postponed.
