Man accused of shooting 4 dogs
A 25-year-old man of Orono (USA) was arrested after shooting and killing four dogs with a rifle inside his home last Sunday.
A man called the Durham Radio News before to say that he couldn’t afford to pay the veterinary bills for the dogs who had become ill with a painful disease. He told that he wanted to end their suffering. The man believed that the dogs had parvovirus, a contagious disease causing chronic vomiting and diarrhea. However, the manager of the Humane Society of Durham Region where survived dogs were placed, said that none of the puppies had the virus.
The rest of the dogs feels well though they are still in shock. The puppies, between 2 and 3 weeks old, are being bottle-fed because their mother was killed.
The man is charged with killing animals other than cattle and careless use and storage of firearms. He was given a conditional release and the investigation is still ongoing.
