Pitbull case cost £26.000
Four Staffordshire Bull Terriers are believed to have cost the county’s force more than £26.000 in kennel boarding fees after they had been suspected and seized by police to be Pitbulls.
In July 2010, the twin brothers from Worcester had their dogs taken under the Dangerous Dogs Act. The Staffordshire Bull Terriers were housed in kennels for nearly 3 months till last week when magistrated ruled the dogs were not Pitbulls nad they could be returned to their owners.
Both twin brothers were found not guilty of possessing the fighting dogs and cleared of a charge of breeding fighting dogs.
