Shelter Dog Sunday - Angelina
Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Angelina, a 6 year old Staffie waiting for a forever home at Battersea!
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Angelina - a gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier at Battersea's London Branch.
Angelina is a lovely, chilled-out girl and would make someone an excellent easy-going companion. She loves nothing more than gently pottering about and resting on her bed. However, she does have a slightly complicated personality and would need an owner who can understand her little quirks! One of these is that she can be a bit picky about the people she loves - so she will need to be shown a little understanding in this regard.
Angelina is very dignified and mature - a little too much so to enjoy spending time with other dogs. So - although she does not mind them - she would prefer to be the only canine in her new home. She isn't fond of cats and would prefer to live in a rural location, but she might be able to live with teenagers who can behave responsibly around dogs.
Angelina dispels the negative stereotypes that Staffies have unfairly been labelled with and whoever adopts her will be rewarded with an easy-going companion who doesn't ask for much!
If think you could give Angelina the calm and understanding forever home she needs, please contact Battersea on 08435 094444 or email them at [email protected] Angelina's reference number is 307195.
