Shelter Dog Sunday - Boyzie
Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Boyzie, a senior German Shepherd looking for his retirement home.
Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and a year, including including Boyzie, a calm gentelman who would love to spend his golden years sorrounded by a loving family.
Breed: German Shepherd
Age: 8 Years 7 Months
Meet our beautiful Boyzie. Don't be fooled by this elderly gentleman's age and calm demeanor, there's plenty of energy in the old dog yet!
The German Shepherd can be a bit on the shy side with new people at first and has found life in kennels difficult and stressful.
However, with a bit of love and affection he has started to come round and has shown us what a real loving and affectionate dog he can be.
There are plenty of tricks that this eight year old could learn and he is a real dog for the training enthusiast. Give our boy the time.
If you think you can offer Boyzie a home please call Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444 or contact them by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
