Shelter Dog Sunday - Moo Moo

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 20 February 2015

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. We've fallen head over heels for this week's star Moo Moo; she's waiting for the loving home at Battersea!

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including the super sweet Moo Moo a stunning girl currently residing at Battersea's London Centre.

Who could say no to this little face? Moo moo is a beautiful little lady who has a sensitive character and is looking for a calm home to help build her confidence in the world around her.  She can be worried by other dogs and new people but does make friends given the time and space to come around and is then a very affectionate and cuddly character.

Although a lot of dogs who end up in shelters have no problems behaviour-wise at all, sometimes canines who have experienced a difficult and unstable life find it difficult to adjust - just like us humans. However, there is nothing more rewarding than adopting a slightly worried dog and seeing their anxieties gradually get less and less over time. The satisfaction you will feel as the kindness and patience you show Moo Moo pays off is like nothing else - and Moo Moo will reward you with many years of companionship and love!

Once settled, Moo Moo loves nothing more than playing fetch with her tennis balls and snuggling with her favourite people!

If you could offer Moo Moo a home, please call Battersea Dogs & Cats home on 08435 094444 or contact them by email on at [email protected]. Juno's reference number is 320454.
