Shelter Dog Sunday - Wrinkles!
Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on the sweet Wrinkles - a Staffordshire Bull Terrier waiting for a loving home at Battersea Dogs Home!
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including the very cute Wrinkles - who currently resides at Battersea's London centre.
What a charming chap we have for you today! Poor Wrinkles was the first dog to arrive at Battersea in 2015. He is a charming lad who is finding kennel life tough and is very stressed in this environment. His time at Battersea, however, has revealed how much happier he is in the company of people and other dogs - so what he really needs is a loving home!
Wrinkles already has some basics in place, and is looking for owners to continue his training plan and teach him some further manners, especially around food - he can be quite impatient at times! That said, Wrinkles can live with less experienced owners in just about any location, as long as there is a park or field close by where he can burn off some energy. He can also live with teenagers who know how to be responsible around dogs, but unfortunately does not like cats so he would prefer to be without a feline housemate. He also loves company, so Wrinkles will need owners who won’t leave him alone for more than a few hours a day.
Wrinkles is a lovely example of his breed and will make a great companion and addition to his new family.
