Stop dog poo in Victoria Park!
Friends of Victoria Park are launching a campaign to stop dog poo ruining a Stretford park. The organization has appealed to dog walkers to pick up their four legged friends excrement and stop destroying the park, off School Road and Victoria Road.
Dog fouling in public places has become the number one complaint from public that consider it not only as an annoyance but also as a dangerous health risk. The committee decided to launch the campaign after they had heard that on Sunday, July 3, children attending free fitness sessions in the park were unable to complete some activities because of dog poo.
The group want to make posters and leaflets to inform people about the dangers of dog poo and are planning to approach Trafford Council next week to get their support for the campaign. Friends of Victoria Park are appealing for dog owners to be responsible and pick up their animal’s poo.
