The First Minister of Northern Ireland has intervened over a decision to destroy a dog that has been described as dangerous
According to BBC, Peter Robinson suggested that Lennox, a pit bull-type dog, should be re-homed.
Lennox, owned by a disabled woman and whose family insists the dog is not dangerous, could be put down on Wednesday morning. In the meanwhile, the situation attracted a global campaign of support through 200,000 signatures.
Pitbulls and dogs like Lennox are illegal in Northern Ireland.
