Top 10 of most and least destructive dog breeds

NewsUK Dog NewsMonday 30 June 2014

The study of 2,000 dog owners found some interesting numbers on the most and the least destructive dog breeds.

Researchers found that 57 per cent of dog owners will face a trail of destruction in their home at some point over their pet’s life. The most likely damage they will face is a scratched, ripped or chewed carpet.

And worst of all, 13 per cent of dog owners admitted their pet had caused damage to someone else’s property.

More than one in five also admitted their pet has been involved in an accident, forcing them to pay other owner's vet’s bills.

Guess what? Chihuahuas are the most dangerous when it comes to damage risks.

‘Chihuahuas may be tiny but it seems they will leave you with a bigger bill than any other dog,’ a spokesman for Sussex-based financial comparison site, said.

Onthe other hand, apparently fierce breeds such as Rottweilers, Staffordshires or the very active Sheepdogs are among the least destructive dogs.
