A lot of people need answers to this very important question: is my dog pregnant?

A dog pregnancy test is different from the human one and can prove expensive.

This article should help you understand a little more about a dog's pregnancy.

Dog Pregnancy Tests – The Options

You cannot use a human pregnancy test on a dog successfully; the results will not be accurate so it isn’t worth attempting.

A dog’s cycle is different from a human cycle so you will need to wait for at least three and a half weeks before getting an accurate reading from a dog pregnancy test at the vets.

    Blood Test

A simple blood test carried out by your vet can determine if your dog has fallen pregnant.

X-rays are a little more accurate as they can inform a vet if the dog is pregnant and how far along she is in her pregnancy.
