How to groom a boxer dog?

Articlegeneral dog adviceWednesday 31 August 2011

Boxer dog is not complicated when talking about the grooming. These medium-sized canines have double very short-haired coats that makes them easy dogs to groom. This dog breed has very shiny and smooth coat in usually brown colour with markings around its stomach, chest, feet and face. Although your boxers are not very demanding, take a while to read this short article about grooming your dog.

Bathing your boxer is not something you must do regularly as they are very clean dogs. When needed you should use a shampoo and use a rubber brush to loosen shedding hair. You can dry your dog with a blow dryer. Take a while every day to give your boxer a quick brush with a natural bristle brush to keep your dog’s shedding to a minimum. Remember to check ears at least once a week for dirt, wax build-up and mites. You should always clean your dog’s ears with a cotton pad moistened with a few drops of ear cleansing solution when it’s needed. Your dog will definitely appreciate that! Hairs around your boxer’s ears should be trimmed with blunt-nosed scissors when needed and at least every two months.
