What does your dog do at a kennel?

Articlegeneral dog adviceThursday 19 May 2011

Every kennel has its own way to make your dog’s visit to its centre pleasant. Many activities and trainings require additional fees. The best way to know what your dog can do at a kennel is to visit it before you go and talk to the staff!

A boarding kennel should be a ‘home away from home’ for your dog, where the only thing that differs is you and your absence. Ask to see where your pet will sleep, play and be walked: Do they walk the dogs several times a day? Do the dogs get playtime? Do they get beds and toys? Do they offer trainings for your dog?

However, you should make sure also whether the employees are friendly and cooperative, are they willing to spend time with pets and are they trained to handle various situations. The way the answer your questions might give you and overall view so put special attention!
