NewsUK Dog NewsThursday 06 October 2011

The dog owners who do not clean up after their dogs are going to be educated in two events that are going to take place in October in Chester.

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s continuing campaign against dog fouling is coming to Tarporley and Westminster Park, Chester. One of the events took place yesterday, 5th October in Tarporley between 7.30 am and noon. The dog owners had a chance to get advice and also free dog waste bags. The second event is going to take place on Tuesday, 11th October in Westminster Park, Chester, from 7.30 am till noon and is aimed to raise awareness about the public health risks associated with dog faeces, which are a breeding ground for harmful bacteria.

If dog mess is not disposed of, it could lead to a £50 fixed penalty notice and if this is not paid the case could be heard at a magistrates court and could lead to a fine of up to £1,000 for each offence.
