    Dogs come first in Alaska

     "Pick. Click. Give." - This is the name of the campaign to help dogs in Alaska. 

    They raised over $134,000 last year (2011). Half is this money was from generous donations through "Pick. Click. Give." The other half was collected through fees and contracts.

    All of this money goes to the dogs, unlike some other non-profit campaigns. They aim to find owners to adopt their dogs but until then they havea program where people can foster the dogs - they will provide food, beds and cover veterinary cost plus more.

    53% of the total money was spent on veterinary costs including spaying and neutering the dogs. The rest was split between community services, supplies such as food and rent money for locations hired for fund raisers.
