    Masiff Kills new Owner

NewsWorld Dog NewsFriday 16 November 2012

This is a rare occurance, however at sometime during Monday morning, a couple's 140 pound mastiff attacked and killed Dawn Brown from a series of fatal neck bites. Both Dawn, aged 44, and her Husband worked part-time volunteer firefighters in Chicago. Her husband found her at the bottom of their basement stairs around 4.15 pm.

The couple had taken the masiff from a family member a week prior to the accident; the couple already had a boxer and pit bull mix. Comments from people who know the couple say they treated their dogs like children.

John Ciribassi, a veterinary behaviorist, said that it is extremely rare for a dog to kill an adult. The 3 dogs have all been taken under the control of Kane County Animal Control. It took 4 animal control workers to control the mastiff.

Dawn Brown was loved by her friends and family and will be missed by her firefighter family greatly.
