Obama family welcome new dog called Sunny

NewsWorld Dog NewsThursday 22 August 2013
The Obama family have a new addition to their family. A one year old female Portuguese Water dog was welcomed to the family on Monday according to the official White House page.
Sunny will be friends with the Omaba’s other family dog who is also a Portuguese Water dog aged four. A spokesperson for the White house said already that Sunny was “full of energy and very affectionate.”
Sunny was born in Michigan in June 2013. The Obamas choose Portguese Water dogs as this is a breed which does not cause surreferring for the family due to allergies.
Already being the presidents dog is a challenging task. Bo has to help the first Family with their official duties such as visiting national charities and helping out with events but also greeting guests at the white house. Michelle Obama stated though that Bo does not get enough social interaction with other dogs so a younger partner would help out.
