    Shelter Dog Sunday - Daisy

NewsShelter Dog SundayThursday 05 April 2018

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Daisy, a very young Shih Tzu looking for a loving family to guide her through adulthood and beyond!

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats a year, including Daisy, a timid girl in need of a safe place to call a loving, forever home.

    Name: Daisy

    Breed: Shih Tzu

    Sex: Female

    Age: 0 years 11 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 361640

Daisy may only be a young girl, but she does have a few undesirable behaviours that new owners must have experience with and be committed to improving. Due to these behaviours she can only go to an adult only home with very experienced owners.

She is a lovely girl when she has got to know you and really does come out of her shell.

Daisy can be a bit timid around new people but if you take it slow she will come around! She has been a little worried around some dogs, but with others she will be a typical playful pup!

Owners should look to keep her regularly socialised with some doggy friends to build her confidence.

Although she is stunning, Daisy should not be rehomed on looks alone as she is a very tricky girl who will require lots of training with her new owners.

To meet Daisy, please contact Battersea’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
