    Shelter Dog Sunday - Gypsy

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Gypsy, a stunning Staffie who absolutely adores people and will bring tons of happiness to her forever family.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Gypsy, a grown-up lady in need of a well deserved forever family.

    Name: Gypsy

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 9 years 6 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 358175

Gorgeous Gypsy is a cuddle monster. Gypsy just loves being around people, and is finding kennel life difficult because she loves her people time so much.

She was rarely left alone in her previous home and we don't think that she'd like to be in her new home.

She would like her new family around for most of the day to give (and receive) lots of cuddles.

Gypsy can be a little unsure of other dogs, so her new owners will need to respect this and not expect her to go off playing, instead enjoying leisurely walks and having a stroll on the lead.

Gypsy has a real love for water and dives head first into our paddling pools, so hopefully her new owners will supply her one of her very own!

To meet Gypsy, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444.
