    Shelter Dog Sunday - Herman

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Herman, a sensitive lad looking for a loving, forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Herman, an elder gentleman with lots of love to give to his forever family.

    Name: Herman

    Breed: Mongrel

    Sex: Male

    Age: 11 years 8 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 361187

Herman has had a sensitive side during his stay at Battersea and was worried by new people initially. With some time (and treats) he will eventually come around and be your best friend!

He can be a bit of a grump around other dogs, so owners will need to be realistic that he doesn't want to make friends and should have quiet, less doggy areas to walk him.

Herman is worth the time and effort, a sweet, loving little boy with lots of affection to give.

To meet Herman, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Herman, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
