    Shelter Dog Sunday - Joey

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 14 July 2017

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Joey, a stunning Lurcher who has everything to bring tons of happiness to his forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Joey, a young lad with a lot of energy to burn at loving forever family.

    Name: Joey

    Breed: Lurcher

    Sex: Male

    Age: 1 year 7 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 356637

Jolly chap Joey is a fun and excitable youngster with a very positive outlook on life.

He loves people, dogs, food and toys - just about everything!

Joey also enjoys keeping active, so is looking for owners who will give him plenty of exercise and training.

While Joey can share a home with another dog of a similar size as well as a cat, it’s best he lives in an adults’ only home where everyone is able to contribute to his training.

A private garden will be needed for Joey to stretch his legs.

To meet Joey, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
