    Shelter Dog Sunday - Poppy

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 12 May 2017

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Poppy, a stunning black puppy who will be very happy to spend her whole life with a forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Poppy, a young and energetic puppy looking for a forever loving family.

    Name: Poppy

    Breed: German Shepherd

    Sex: Female

    Age: 10 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 356352

Despite being born without one of her front paws, gorgeous Poppy doesn’t let it slow her down.

She is a typical energetic puppy with an affectionate character and love for toys.

Poppy has led quite a sheltered life until now and will need owners who are dedicated to helping her adjust to the big wide world.

Poppy would love to find a home in a quiet area, with a private garden for her to explore.

She would benefit from living with another steady canine companion and would appreciate any children in the home being older teens who won’t overwhelm her.

To meet Poppy, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
