    Shelter Dog Sunday - Star

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 11 August 2017

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Star, a stunning Staffie who is willing to share her heart with a forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Star, a true gem who deserves to spend her senior years surrounded by a loving family.

    Name: Star

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 8 years 7 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 358436

Star is a joy to be around, full of beans and excited to make new friends.

She loves to eat chicken as a special treat and is just as happy to join in on a game with rope toys and tennis balls.

While Star already has some training in place, she’ll be more than happy to learn some new tricks.

Star has lived with older children before and could do so with teenagers again.

She isn’t phased by a busy environment, but will benefit from having a private garden as a place to call her own.

Star will also prefer to be the only pet in her new home.

To meet Star, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
