    Shelter Dog Sunday - Venus

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 21 July 2017

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Venus, a stunning beauty who will be very happy to move in with a forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Venus, an affectionate Greyhound, very fond of humans, and now looking for a forever loving family.

    Name: Venus

    Breed: Greyhound

    Sex: Female

    Age: 4 years 1 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 357969

Venus is a really sweet girl who is ready to trade in the racing track for a comfortable couch.

She loves being stroked, meeting new people and having occasional bouncy moments when it’s playtime.

Venus will benefit from finding a home with a family who have some experience of owning sighthounds.

She can happily live alongside children over the age of eight, as well as another dog of a similar size.

A large garden will be needed so Venus can have run arounds off lead.

To meet Venus, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
