    Shelter Dog Sunday - Wilma

NewsShelter Dog SundayFriday 13 October 2017

Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Wilma, a gorgeous Staffie who is willing to share her heart with a forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Wilma, a true gem who deserves to spend her senior years surrounded by a loving family.

    Name: Wilma

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 8 years 8 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 358518

Wilma is an affectionate lady who craves attention from her human friends, particularly if they will give her some gentle chest tickles.

She’s had a lot of upheaval recently at no fault of her own and can be a bit worried in new environments, so would benefit from becoming part of a reassuring family who will take things slowly with her.

Wilma will make a lovely companion for Staffie lovers who currently have a canine shaped hole in their homes.

She has lived with children in the past and could do so again with those who have had previous experience with dogs.

A quiet location and private garden will also help with making Wilma feel at home.

To meet Wilma, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
