Shelter Dog Sunday - Yasu
Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on baby Yasu, a charming lad who will be very happy to spend his life with a forever family.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Yasu, an affectionate young boy looking for a loving forever home.
Name: Yasu

Meet our fabulous Yasu! This incredible 10-month-old youngster is so much fun and has endless enthusiasm.
Yasu is definitely a Rottie cross, but we're not sure what with – possibly a German Shepherd or an Akita.
New owners must have good knowledge of at least one of these breed types or similar varieties.
Yasu seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs, though can sometimes get a bit over-excited, and at this crucial stage in his life he is able to socialise regularly with role models to ensure he stays on the right path.
We think he may be able to live with a confident, medium or large female dog who can help him along the way.
Yasu is eager-to-please, so training should be fun and rewarding for both him and his new owners.
