    Shelter Dog Wednesday - Bertha

Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Bertha, ready to find a forever family to cuddle with on a sofa.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Bertha, a fun young girl looking for a loving, forever family.

    Name: Bertha

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 2 years 6 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 361676

Beautiful Bertha is a real heart stealer! She has the most infectious personality and her smile is sure to win over her new lucky family.

Bertha is a typical Staffie, she thrives on human companionship and would benefit from having someone at home most of the day that she can spend lots of time with.

Due to her medical issues, Bertha is looking for a fairly non-athletic home that can spend the day going for short walks and then spending the rest of the day curling up on the sofa.

She would also prefer to be the only doggy in the house hold.

To meet Bertha, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
