    Shelter Dog Wednesday - Elle

Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Elle, an adorable mix of Staffie and Rottweiler who dreams of playing tug of war with a forever family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Elle, a lovely lady in need of a loving, forever family.

    Name: Elle

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 7 years 2 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 356127

Elle is a beautiful mix of Staffie and Rottweiler, making her a real head turner.

She has a heart of gold and adores attention, but the real love of her life are her toys. Elle relishes a game of tug of war.

Elle is a confident and mature lady who will make a great companion.

She bonds nicely to her family and enjoys the company of older children. She would however prefer to be the only pet in her new home, live in a quiet area, and have the benefit of a private garden to explore.

To meet Elle, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Elle, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
