    Shelter Dog Wednesday - Gizmo

NewsShelter Dog WednesdayMonday 27 March 2017

Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Gizmo, an elder chap who is finding life at the kennel quite stressful.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of  but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Gizmo, a wonderful Staffie looking for a loving, forever family.

    Name: Gizmo

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Male

    Age: 9 years 1 month

    Centre: London

    Reference: 355998

Gizmo is a really sweet older gentleman who loves nothing more than receiving a fuss and some attention.

He is finding life in kennels a bit stressful and would really like to settle into his perfect retirement home as soon as possible.

Gizmo is looking for a home with a private garden that he can call his own.

While he would like to be the only dog in his new home, Gizmo may be able to share with a cat.

He is a real people’s dog, and would benefit from finding a family home with older children, so there’s always someone around to give him some love.

To meet Gizmo, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
