Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Gracie, an adorable Staffie who dreams of playing tug of war with a forever family.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Gracie, a lovely lady in need of a loving, forever family.

    Name: Gracie

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 6 years 9 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 360451

Gracie is a sweet older lady looking for her forever home.

She loves nothing more than snuggling into a duvet, keeping warm and having a nap.

Gracie is a loyal companion and prefers the company of humans, so she would prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Gracie is a sensitive, gentle girl who just wants to find her best friend for life.

She prefers households with older children and needs a private garden.

To meet Gracie, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Gracie, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
