    Shelter Dog Wednesday - Paddy

Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Paddy, a goofy lad who dreams of being loved by an active family.

Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of  Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Paddy, a friendly youngster looking for a loving, forever family.

    Name: Paddy

    Breed: Mongrel

    Sex: Male

    Age: 9 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 357830

Handsome youngster Paddy is bursting full of energy. He is a goofy chap who just loves attention from everyone.

Quick to learn new things, Paddy will really benefit from finding owners who have the time to continue his training.

Paddy’s owners will need to be physically able to handle a strong dog.

He has experience with older children and could share a home with those who will keep interactions calm.

Paddy loves other dogs but can be too much for some. It would therefore be best that Paddy is the only dog in his new home and instead meets pals for regular socialisation.

To meet Paddy, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Paddy, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
