Shelter Dog Wednesday - Ruby
Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Ruby, ready to find a forever family to cuddle with on a sofa.
Battersea and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Ruby, a fun young girl looking for a loving, forever family.
Name: Ruby
Breed: Mongrel
Sex: Female
Age: 5 years 2 months
Centre: London
Reference: 361057
Radiant Ruby is looking for a loving home of her own. Ruby can be a bit worried of other dogs, so is looking for owners who have experience with socialising nervous dogs.
She does have potential to have some possession issues around food, so this will also need careful management within a home.
This sweet girl loves her people very much, she wants to be with you as much as she can. In exchange she will fetch her ball or give loving cuddles.
Ruby would prefer to be the only pet at home as she much prefers the company of her favourite humans.
She would also prefer to live outside of the inner city and with older children who can understand that she needs calm.
To meet Ruby, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
