Every Sunday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Simba, a tummy rubs lover looking for a forever family.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Simba, a gentleman with a big heart looking for a loving, forever home.

    Name: Simba

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Male

    Age: 3 years 8 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 359227

The very handsome Simba has a courageous personality and dashing good looks to match!

Simba adores running and is always looking for an adventure. He even enjoys going for a swim!

While at Battersea, Simba has made leaps and bounds in his training and new owners will see what amazing potential this boy has.

Simba would be best suited to a household with older teenagers and a private garden for any training sessions.

He would prefer to be the only pet in his new home, so that all your adventures can be enjoyed together!

To meet Simba, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Simba, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
