Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Skipper, a charming Greyhound looking for a forever family.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Skipper, a stunning ex-racer ready to rush to the sofa in a loving home!

    Name: Skipper

    Breed: Greyhound

    Sex: Male

    Age: 4 years 0 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 361155

Skipper is a sweet boy who is looking for his forever home where he can find a cosy area to sleep when he's not running around as fast as he can.

He will need some further guidance and training around toys and treats, as he doesn't like to share with people or other dogs.

Skipper really enjoys the company of people but has been very focused on and is keen to chase smaller dogs, so will need to stay on lead in public areas at all times to prevent himself from getting into trouble.

Skipper loves a fuss and playing with his toys and would like to live with someone who is happy to give him lots of cuddles.

To meet Skipper, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Skipper, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
