    Shelter Dog Wednesday - Sky

Every Wednesday we run a special feature on a rescue dog looking for a loving home. This week, the spotlight is on Sky, a Staffie who dreams of curling up in a sofa with her loving family.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the well-known backdrop of ITV's Paul O'Grady - For The Love Of Dogs but what you see on the show is only a fraction of the work that the shelter do. Battersea takes on over 9000 cats and dogs a year, including Sky, a friendly girl looking for a loving, forever family.

    Name: Sky

    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

    Sex: Female

    Age: 7 years 3 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 358898

At the young age of 7 years old, there is still lots of energy left in this girl.

She loves charging around with tennis balls and ragga toys and at the end of a fun filled day, she will curl up with her favourite people enjoying a well deserved power nap before she is off again ready for another burst of enthusiasm.

Sky needs to live with experienced owners in an adult only home where she can really reach her full potential.

She needs some ongoing work around other dogs but she has shown great promise already so owners are sure to have a fun and rewarding experience training Sky.

To meet Sky, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.

If you want to adopt a rescue dog like Sky, please check out our shelter directory for rescues near you!
