A terrier dog has been rescued by firefighters in Dorset after he got stuck under a pile of broken concrete.

Firefighters used hydraulic lifting equipment and dug a trench to reach Mr Scribbles outside a house in West Moors on Tuesday night.

The three-year-old terrier had managed to lodge himself under rubble from a broken-up driveway.

Owner Jamie Robinson said he was safely rescued within 40 minutes with "no scrapes and just dented pride".

"There was a risk of the concrete dislodging on top of him so we are very grateful the fire brigade came so quickly," he added.
