Vet faces £75.000 after dog goes missing

NewsUK Dog NewsMonday 17 October 2011
A 33-year-old vet of South Hiendley, between Barnsley and Wakefield, is facing £75.000 bill, after she broke fly-posting laws to find her lost dogs.
The dog went missing on the 5th September and since then, the vet together with her husband have printed off over 1.000 posters and place them everywhere to find their beloved pet. They have also offered a reward for the person who helps find the dog. However, the couple was contacted on Wednesday last week by Wakefield Council which said several complaints had been made about the posters. The local authority said the couple would be fined £75 for each poster they had put up in the area if the posters are not removed until 27th October. In case any poster is found found after that date, the fines will be issued immediately.
Anyone who has information about the lost dogs should contact Jayne Hayes at DogLost on 0844 800 3220 or on 07734 759154.
