About Me. Spitz breed type Zorro is a new arrival, settling in and awaiting further assessment. Zorro is an anxious dog who will require a calm, adult only home with more experienced owners able to provide on-going support and re-training. He is worried by strangers and other dogs, showing reactive behaviours, this will need managing carefully as he learns calmer responses. Zorro is not able to live with children or cats and requires training around other dogs, he does travel well in the car and may be fine left alone for short periods. Please research the Spitz character and needs, including relating to coat care. Zorro will require a home with a garden and is unlikely to be suited to living in a town environment or a flat.. Care for a Dog. As the owner you are responsible for providing everything your dog needs to keep them healthy and happy:. · Companionship - Dogs are very social and love spending time with people and sometimes other animals. · Physical exercise - At least a couple walks a day. · Mental Stimulation - Activity that keeps their mind busy / training. · A healthy diet - Normally two feeds a day of the food type and quantity appropriate for the dog. Access to clean, fresh water. · Veterinary care - When needed. Annual health check. · Comfortable environment - Not too cold, hot, draughty or damp, where they can rest. · Respect of their needs - Especially ensure children know how to behave around dogs to help them build a lasting friendship.. Each dog has specific needs, depending on its age, breed and type. For more info on caring for your dog please order our free pet care guide here:
    Advice about buying a pet
    • There are already thousands of dogs in shelters that would make loving companions - consider adopting a rescue dog.
    • NEVER buy from anyone willing to deliver a dog by courier & report it to our team.
    • Visit the pups & their mum. Take our 'Visiting a Puppy' checklist with you.
    • HELP STOP PUPPY FARMING: If any of the criteria on the checklist is not met or something doesn't feel right, look elsewhere for your new canine companion.
